A satire in which the everyday adventures of neighbouring cats reflect pressing European political issues.
The film takes place on the estates of three cats from different social classes, who protect their territories with hedges and gates. The already fragile neighborly relations are shaken by stray cats that invade their territories. To resolve the resulting international conflict, the most prominent cat statesmen devise a cunning plan that will undoubtedly claim innocent victims.

Director's statement
This is a story about the European Union—more specifically, about how the ideals of unity and democracy clash with its refugee policy. The image of the EU, which often contradicts its actual policies, is reflected in the animation, where an idyllic environment with colorful, cute, and funny cats ultimately faces the brutality of inhumane expulsion. The film is full of details (e.g., scratches and bandages on the new cats) that hint at the less civilized story that is revealed at the end of the film. All these elements are subtle and leave room for different interpretations until the final scene, when my clear position is reinforced by the politically charged score of Beethoven's Ode to Joy.
