The duo 6YPAH (Buran), consisting of Jani Toplak (Nova Gorica) and Giorgio Multineddu (Gorica), returned to the stage after many years of absence with the album Prozorno mesto (Transparent City) – a collection of six songs that capture the sonic and literary vision of two decades of creativity in less than half an hour.
Their story begins in 2008, when they turned a friendly experimental project into an enigmatic musical entity inspired by the Soviet space program Buran. Their sonic journey from analog synthesizers to hybrid studio recordings has shaped their unique expression between new wave, darkwave, krautrock, synthpop, and electropunk influences.
The new album Prozorno mesto was created in their home studio Resounding Sounds, where analog and digital meet in the search for raw authenticity. The lyrics, full of symbolism and urban reflections, explore the feeling of growing up between socialism and neoliberalism, the fear of nuclear weapons, digitalization, and the loss of meaning in the post-COVID world. The sound is dark, yet directly honest—like looking through the glass of a modern city.
The album Prozorno mesto was released digitally on Bandcamp (Hi-Res 24-bit), and the newly released vinyl will also be premiered.
The concert is part of ŠUMskoVOCE, dedicated to experimentation and exploration of sound, noise, and voice.
