The Whispering Bowls project deals with the auditory perception of the relationship between the artificial and the natural, the real and the fictional, individual freedom and the control or restriction of that freedom. The project uses recorded archival texts, texts recorded using a text generator, electroacoustic processing of texts, conversion of text material into MIDI notation, and collection of data on individuals' movements, converted into MIDI notation. The texts (electroacoustically processed and converted into MIDI) are accompanied by music based on a concept/score that takes into account the vibration signals of spider activity.

Boštjan Perovšek's sound event is this time realized in the form of a stereo sound projection, in which the musician, in the manner of a manipulator, shapes the final sound space like a chef who takes ingredients from different jars, knowing that they can conjure up a unique (sound) dish each time.

Boštjan Perovšek is a musician, composer, and sound space designer. He specializes in creating bioacoustic music based on animal sounds. He also plays with the band SAETA.

The concert is part of ŠUMskoVOCE, dedicated to experimenting and exploring sound, noise, and voice.
