Music cycle ŠUMskoVOCE is dedicated to experimenting and exploring sound, noise, and voice.

The duo, consisting of Sardinian transdisciplinary artist Annalise Pascai Saiu (Annalized) and glitch percussionist Emilio Bernè (Noiose) took us on an auditory and visual journey through glossolalia, philosophy, mystical themes, and an experimental approach to traditional Sardinian tales, improvised on Byzantine scales with a generous dose of noise.

Annalisa Pascai Saiu is a ritual performer, poet, singer, improviser, visual artist, independent and underground curator, and organizer of NOISE DELIVERY and PROGETTOHECATE.

She is an artist from the tradition of Sardinian improvisational poets, a flow of sound and storytelling where mythology is linked to traditional Sardinian stories, magical formulas, prayers, philosophical, mystical, and theological themes. She alternately uses and mixes her language with biblical Hebrew, ancient Greek, and Sardinian in a flow that is always improvised and adapted to the place.

All this is perfectly intertwined on the semantic level of meaning and signifier with the gestural and sonic exploration of the other artist in the duo, Emilia Bernè.

Noiose stems from a combination of deconstruction techniques. It develops the idea of glitch simulation with the authenticity of individual psychism. In the absence of drum codes, a work is created where new tricks are often discovered by chance or precisely because of failure. Technical errors and artifacts become pursued goals, reduced to the minimum amount of information that allows playing.
