Enej Gala (1990) lives and works between London, Venice, and Nova Gorica. In 2014, he was on a student exchange at the William De Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, graduating in 2013 and completing his master's degree in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice under Prof. Carlo Di Rac in 2015. In 2023, he completed a postgraduate program at the Royal Academy Schools in London. His practice expands the narrative by questioning traditional views of painting, performative sculpture, puppetry, and video, and explores various forms of production through collaborations with other artists. His artistic research focuses on the limits of imagination, exploring the fragile nature of certain identities and questioning conflictual rhetoric. Enej Gale's artistic work feeds on the laws of perception, the contemplation of metaphors, as an anomaly that manifests itself in constant disappointment with what is proposed to us in any form of convention.
