In 2021 book festival Mesto knjige - City of Books was held under the theme of "multilingualism." In addition to many authors, writers, theorists, and musicians, illustrator Manca Krošelj also contributed to the theme by creating the visual image of the festival. Her paintings on the theme, as well as studies and sketches created during the preparation process were shown in the exhibition.
MANCA KROŠELJ is an artist from Ljubljana who works at the intersection of illustration, visual communication, and landscape architecture.
Her formal education is in the field of landscape architecture. In 2017, she graduated from the Faculty of Biotechnology at the University of Ljubljana, Department of Landscape Architecture, where she is currently employed as a researcher.
Manca has always focused on exploring different modes of visual expression, whether through the lens of scientific research or fictional narratives. Her favorite media are paper, the digital workspace, and clay. Recently, she has been fascinated by visual storytelling, where she tries to play with exploring and presenting everyday life lessons.
The exhibition is co-financed by the Municipality of Nova Gorica.
