An evening with Hapkult, a cultural organization based in the double town of Haparanda-Tornio, straddling the Sweden-Finland border.
The organization Hapkult is made up of three artists – Anna Lindkvist, Kenneth Mikko, and Pia Sunoneri – their mission is to bridge contemporary art and culture with the humanities and sciences, with a special focus on rediscovering the arctic bordlerlands. They organize the acclaimed sound festival Haparator and have completed a residency in Nova Gorica and Gorizia, hosted by Carinarnica.
Hapkult presented their activities in Haparanda and shared insights from their residency experience. There was open a conversation with the hosts Anja Medved and Nadja Velušček about creating in border areas and visions of international cooperation. The final event took place in KINOkašča, Šmihel 55, Šempas, Slovenija.
