With her sensitive use of composition, shadows, and reflections, the author creates spaces of transition: between external reality and the inner world, between the past and present self, between the visible and the perceived. Photography is a kind of door—or perhaps just the illusion of a door—that invites the viewer to ask: Who am I in this moment of transition? And who will I be when I look away?
/ Tjaša Gnezda (1985) graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Communication Studies — Media and Communication Studies. She then began to improve her skills in the field of visual arts by taking a course in graphic techniques at MGLC in Ljubljana and a program in professional fashion photography at Scuola di Fotografia Professionale e Multimedia Firenze, Italy. She further developed her video production skills at the Innsbruck Film Campus residency, the Victoria Yards Johannesburg workshop, and the ORMS Cape Town School of Photography in South Africa. She lives and works between Idrija and Ljubljana.
